CloudWatch
AWS provides services to assist in monitoring. One such service is CloudWatch. CloudWatch is a resource and application monitoring service that can help customers to get alerted when thresholds are breached. It allows for the monitoring of resources immediately and automatically without the need to install or configure any software. It allows for visibility into resource utilization performance and traffic load patterns. It provides tools to gather and graph resources metrics, such as CPU utilization, disk I/O, and network traffic. Alarms can be set when metrics breach certain thresholds. These alarms then can trigger actions such as sending notifications or starting processes automatically to handle the issue. Most of the services available on AWS support CloudWatch as a monitoring tool. The use of CloudWatch is free, but if you intend to go for detailed monitoring, then there is some fees to pay.
